The Brexit Preparedness Plan, 60 pages that covers all sectors, from agribusiness to pharmaceuticals, aims to provide a list of resources for companies: who to contact, what administrative procedures, what changes to make before the end of the year - date on which the United Kingdom will definitively leave the common market.
The Irish economy depends on the United Kingdom.
It is its main trading partner, and trade between Ireland and continental Europe (130 billion euros per year) passes through Great Britain, which will then be a third country.
So “prepare yourself,” the document says, for extended delivery times, lots of paperwork, and higher costs.

In the end, the plan is more of a loud reminder than an innovative strategy, while Brexit has been somewhat eclipsed by the pandemic.
The only novelty and unique quantified measure: allowances of 9,000 euros for each new “Brexit” hiring, for example administrative agents.
