09 September 2020All over the world, scientific research is at work to ensure the creation of a vaccine against Covid-19 as quickly as possible.

Italy does its part and "will continue to invest at the forefront in research for the anti-Covid vaccine in order to guarantee effective solutions in maximum safety as soon as possible".

Minister Roberto Speranza said this at a press conference at Palazzo Chigi this afternoon.

"The precautionary suspension of the trial by Astra Zeneca demonstrates the seriousness of the strict testing protocols. No vaccine will ever be authorized without full guarantee for people's health," he continued.

"Within this framework, with the European Commission, we are investing in the main vaccine candidates being tested with the highest standards of safety and efficacy", concluded the owner of Health in front of journalists.
