This weekend, National Police Chief Mats Löfving spoke in Ekot's Saturday interview regarding clans.

The most notable thing he said is that there are at least 40 family-based criminal networks in Sweden today that work with organizing and systematizing crime.

Something that, among other things, has made the Riksdag politicians react.

About five criminal networks in Västmanland

As for Västmanland, the police assess that a handful of relatives have violent capital and operate in different ways in the county.

These are more families than clans, according to Robert Wallén, police chief in Västmanland.

- Clans do not fit in here, there are a handful of networks that look different.

We have a good picture of the constellations that exist, he says.

In the clip above, Robert Wallén develops his reasoning and explains how he views the concept of clan society.
