A couple of days ago, a wolf was observed in Lindome and it has probably continued north and ended up in Gothenburg.

After Martin Broberg took a look at the pictures taken by a private person, he states that it seems to be in good condition - but on the streets of Gothenburg it lives dangerously.

- It looks magnificent but there is unfortunately a great risk that it will be injured in traffic, says Martin Broberg.

Wandering wolves are not only active at night, as stationary wolves that have territories usually are.

The wandering wolf is often frightened and then withdraws and continues to wander even during the bright hours of the day.

Do you need to be afraid of this wolf?

- No, no human in modern times was injured by a wolf, except by wolves in pens at zoos.

It is only if the wolf is crowded, for example by people who want to film, that it can exhibit aggressive behavior.

But you have to have respect for this big animal, says Martin Broberg.

If you run into and injure a wolf - what should you do?

- You should call 112 and ask the police and tell them what happened.

Mark the place where the wolf had disappeared into the terrain.

The police alert a special wanted hunter if the animal is injured and needs to be killed.

The dead wolf must then be disposed of and transported to the Swedish Veterinary Institute for examination.
