As usual, all new coaches who come up with their ideas and plans and try to leave their mark on the team's performance, Dutch Ronald Koeman is trying to restore Barcelona's lost glories locally and in Europe.

After replacing the Spanish coach Quique Setien, Koeman imposed strict rules in Barça training that were not as serious as required in recent years.

Many players complained about the lack of strength and high levels in training, and this negatively affected the team's performance, especially when it played high-level matches in the Champions League against teams like Liverpool and Bayern Munich, and suffered two humiliating losses in the two confrontations.

One of Coman's priorities - according to the Spanish newspaper MARCA - is to transform exercises into serious tests, not for fun or passing time.

The former Barca star extended the time for training sessions from an hour to 90 minutes, and increased strength and competition.

And this change began to be felt by the players of the team, especially the veteran ones, and they called Koeman the "watchman".

Although the former coach of the Netherlands national team did not promise anything or achieve titles in his first season, but what is certain is that there has been a change since his arrival.

Koman also established disciplinary rules that were absent from the team's training in past seasons, foremost of which is that players must come to the training ground an hour before its launch, and not tolerate any delay even if it is one minute.

In past years, training was delayed for a long time due to players' lack of commitment, as they wasted time chatting or playing basketball.

The other important thing for Koeman is respect, as he once reprimanded a player for not fully listening to his instructions and explaining a plan.
