The Nord department has decided to extend a measure already in force since Sunday in the Lille metropolis.

From now on, all bars, restaurants and snacks will have to lower the curtains between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., in order to fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

The department is indeed facing a rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.

This decree will apply from the night of Wednesday to Thursday, for a period of fifteen days.

It extends a measure already in force since Sunday in the Lille metropolis.

Like Bas-Rhin, Seine-Maritime, Côte-d'Or, the two departments of Corsica and Reunion Island, the North was placed last weekend in the red zone of "active circulation of the virus ".

"The incidence rate of the virus in the North department is now 89.5 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, against 36.4 new cases the previous week", underlines the prefect of the North Michel Lalande in the order taken Tuesday.
