Two years ago, the then French Minister of Energy Transition presented a 100 million euro plan to launch green hydrogen.

This shows the change of scale that the French government is operating to capitalize on this technology called, according to some, to revolutionize the energy sector.

However, to really launch this sector, it will be necessary to solve the problem of cost because green hydrogen costs on average twice as much as gray hydrogen, produced from coal or petroleum.

For this, the roadmap presented by Barbara Pompili and Bruno Le Maire this Tuesday focuses on the construction of giant factories - often in collaboration, like Germany, with other countries, on the model of batteries.

But also by stimulating the offer, in particular transport: trucks, trains and even, why not, the first hydrogen plane within ten years.

Finally, by investing in research and development.

It will also be necessary to invest in training, in order to have the necessary manpower in the coming years to change scale precisely ... Bercy expects 50,000 to 150,000 jobs created in the energy sector in the coming years.
