Civil Aviation Administration: At the end of August, the daily flight volume of China's civil aviation returned to 90% of the pre-COVID-19

Beijing News Express (Reporter Wu Tingting) Today (September 8), the only forum in the aviation industry during the Service Trade Fair, the second "Air Silk Road" International Cooperation Summit was held.

Cui Xiaofeng, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, introduced in his speech that at the end of August, the daily flight volume of China's civil aviation exceeded 13,000, which has recovered to 90% of the pre-epidemic period.

Cui Xiaofeng said that at present, China has signed intergovernmental air transport agreements with 96 "Belt and Road" countries and regions.

Even during the epidemic, China has maintained regular passenger and cargo navigation with 45 of these countries and regions, building a safe, fast and efficient air bridge for the "Belt and Road" cooperation.

At the beginning of this year, the sudden new crown pneumonia epidemic brought huge challenges to the world, and its impact on the civil aviation industry was unprecedented.

In the face of the epidemic, Civil Aviation of China has taken timely measures, formulated and updated five editions of the epidemic prevention and control guidelines, and guided airlines and airports to implement hierarchical zoning and differentiated prevention and control strategies to protect the health of passengers and aviation professionals.

At the same time, it actively promulgated supporting policies in terms of finance, taxation, finance, flight approval, etc., and established a "green channel" for international cargo flight approval to promote the industry to overcome difficulties.

At the end of August, the daily flight volume of China's civil aviation exceeded 13,000, returning to 90% of the level before the epidemic.

In the face of the epidemic, Civil Aviation of China has strengthened cooperation with countries around the world including the “Belt and Road” countries, sharing epidemic prevention and control experience with civil aviation authorities in more than 50 countries and regions, and 58 overseas airlines. International and regional civil aviation organizations such as the Air Transport Association, the International Airport Association, and the Arab, African, and Latin American Civil Aviation Commissions have cooperated to participate in epidemic prevention and control and operations related activities led by international organizations.

He said that during the epidemic, the "Belt and Road" partners watched each other and provided valuable support to China. China has also shipped more than 1,700 tons of epidemic prevention materials to 47 countries and regions.

At present, there are 1,068 weekly cargo flights between China and the “Belt and Road” countries and regions, which is 2.6 times the number before the epidemic.

These flight routes have become the "passage of life" and "link of destiny" for the "Belt and Road" countries to jointly fight the epidemic.
