The Christian Democrats want to address the lack of space in Swedish institutions by using parts of the development assistance budget to build prisons in other countries, according to a proposal presented on Monday.

SVT's political reporter Elisabeth Marmorstein says that she is also not surprised that party leader Ebba Busch comes up with this type of proposal.

- This is completely in line with the right-wing gear she turned to already when she was elected party leader, where a stricter legal policy and a strict migration policy are two crucial components, says Elisabeth Marmorstein.

- A goal with such is a play is of course to stand out and attract attention and it must be said that they have succeeded.

It irritates bile fever on political opponents at the same time as it goes home among the voters you want to attract, that is, those who weigh between M, SD and KD.

That parts of the party protest is included in the calculation, according to Marmorstein.

- The party leadership has long been more focused on winning new voters than protecting the free church core voters who built up the party.

And it is a direction that is facilitated by the fact that Ebba Busch has a very strong position internally.
