The Federal Drug Prosecution referred a European woman to the competent criminal court after she was arrested in an ambush prepared by the General Department for Drug Control in Dubai Police, while she was selling an amount of cocaine and another drug to a police source.

The incident began when information was received by the General Department for Narcotics Control in Dubai Police about a European woman's possession of an amount of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of promotion, so a team was formed to verify the information, and then set up an ambush for her after assigning a police source to communicate with her with the purpose of buying drugs and arresting her in the act.

A witness from the General Department for Narcotics Control in Dubai Police said that the defendant set an amount of 9,500 dirhams to sell a quantity of cocaine to one of the department's sources, and they agreed to meet near a hotel in the Marina area, so legal measures were taken and the amount was photographed and the source was self-searched, and a force moved to carry out the seizure. .

He added that the source met the accused on the date, and after about 10 minutes she was seen pulling something out of her bag and handed it over to the source, who took the money out and gave the agreed signal, so the place was raided and she was arrested.

He pointed out that by searching the defendant, he found in her possession the amount of the police, in addition to a transparent plastic bag containing five narcotic capsules, and by moving to her residence in a well-known hotel, a bag containing a narcotic substance and a roll containing a white substance was found, and other bags containing a suspicious substance, an amount of money and an electronic balance. She acknowledged in the inference report that she had brought drugs from her country and was in the process of selling the capsules that were found in her possession to another person.

The accused retracted her statements in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, indicating that the drugs that were seized in her possession belonged to her for the purpose of abuse and not trafficking, and she denied what was stated in her statement in the police inference report and the beginning of the investigations of the Public Prosecution which in turn referred her to the Federal Drug Prosecution as the competent authority.

For his part, the defendant's defense attorney, Lawyer Badr Abdullah Khamis, during the trial session after hearing the prosecution witnesses, prompted the invalidity of the defendant’s statements contained in the evidence collection and seizure record in order to obtain them without the presence of a certified translator in contravention of the provisions of Article (70) of the Criminal Procedure Law, as the accused is ignorant of the Arabic language .

He also argued the contradiction of the evidence of the witness and the evidence presented in the case and the absence of the elements of the crime of possessing narcotic substances with the intention of trafficking in both the material and the moral side of the defendant's right, pleading at the end of his defense of her innocence of the accusation against her, and accordingly the court decided to reserve the case for judgment in the next session.
