Recently, food aid materials provided by the United Nations World Food Program to Lebanon have arrived in Beirut. This batch of food materials include flour, wheat, and grains, alleviating Lebanon’s food shortage.

Before the explosion in Beirut port on August 4, Lebanon’s domestic financial crisis and the new crown epidemic had already affected the country’s food supply.

Lebanon's only large granary in the port was also destroyed in the explosion, raising concerns about Lebanon's food security.
