Two employees of another overseas Chinese business enterprise continued to have a fever in recent days. They went to Nakesero Hospital on September 3 for a nucleic acid test and obtained the test results on the 4th, which showed positive for the new coronavirus pneumonia.

It was understood that the above two employees had worked near Jinjia Road before they developed a fever.

After receiving the relevant information, the embassy immediately called the three overseas Chinese to express their condolences and asked their families and company leaders to seal and disinfect the housing of the case in accordance with relevant prevention and control regulations. At the same time, they quickly checked out close contacts and took quarantine measures on the spot. Report health.

At the same time, the embassy coordinated with the Uzbekistan medical team to conduct remote consultations on the case to understand his physical health and provide targeted medical guidance.

At present, the three patients have been admitted to Entebbe Referral Hospital and Murago Hospital respectively. The physical and mental conditions of the three are relatively stable.

  2. In view of the above, especially considering the recent worsening of the epidemic situation in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, the Chinese Embassy in Uganda once again strongly reminded the overseas Chinese in Uganda and the Chinese-funded institutions in Uganda:

  (1) Please carry out self-inspection immediately based on this, report important information to the embassy in a timely manner, and further strengthen prevention and control awareness and internal and external prevention and control methods, and contact the Uzbek health department for guidance if necessary.

  (2) The experience of neighboring countries proves that downtown areas and commercial streets are areas where Chinese citizens are at high risk of contracting the new crown pneumonia virus. In the case of relevant countries, especially the black belt disease, our citizens will face a higher risk of infection. Please be sure Highly vigilant, in view of this, it is strongly recommended that overseas Chinese doing business in downtown areas and commercial streets such as Williams Street in Kampala must suspend business for their own life and health and continue to close their doors to avoid the epidemic.

  (3) Scientific research has shown that wearing masks can play a protective role to a certain extent, but the protective effects of general surgical masks are very limited. You must upgrade your own protective measures comprehensively, and wear N95 masks, protective masks, and goggles when necessary.

  (4) Continue to strengthen the bottom line thinking, always tighten the string of epidemic prevention and control, and always pay attention to the development of the Uzbek epidemic and the prevention and control trends, especially the development trend in the next stage.

Persevere, do not relax, do not slacken off, resolutely put an end to paralysis, and make preparations for a protracted war, including emergency supplies.

Strictly abide by the Uzbek government’s epidemic prevention regulations and raise awareness of safety precautions. Masks must be worn in public places to avoid contact with high-risk persons such as truck drivers.

Guide employees to deal with the epidemic scientifically, maintain a good attitude, and avoid unnecessary panic.

Do not go out unless necessary to reduce the risk of cross-infection.

At the same time, the majority of overseas Chinese are asked not to be excessively anxious, maintain a rational and scientific attitude, strengthen scientific prevention, pay attention to physical exercise, and enhance their own immunity.
