The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has directed to send urgent relief aid to Sudan, which is witnessing floods that have killed 100 people and displaced hundreds of thousands of people.

The Qatar News Agency reported that the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani made a phone call Sunday evening with the Prime Minister of Sudan, Abdullah Hamdok.

The Qatari Prime Minister expressed his sincere condolences and condolences to the victims of the floods that swept through several regions in Sudan, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The agency added that the Qatari Prime Minister informed the Sudanese Prime Minister that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, had directed "to send urgent relief aid to brotherly Sudan to alleviate the effects of these floods."

The Sudanese Prime Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for this assistance, and for "the permanent standing of the State of Qatar by Sudan."
