Japanese musicians played an active role, such as Misaki Morino from Okayama Prefecture who won the vocal section at the "Johannes Brahms International Competition" in Austria, which is known as the gateway to young musicians.

The Johannes Brahms International Competition, named after 19th-century composer Brahms, is one of Europe's prestigious competitions, also known as the gateway to young musicians, and is held every year in southern Austria at this time.

The 27th Koshinoshi competition took place on the 4th in the final of the vocal section, and Ms. Misaki Morino, who is from Okayama prefecture and is based in Vienna, won the championship.

After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, Mr. Morino has been playing an active role in operas and concerts in Austria and Japan, such as being ranked first in the vocal section of the Japan Music Competition two years ago.

In addition, Mr. Yuto Kiguchi, a high school classmate who played the piano with Mr. Morino, was selected as the best accompaniment.

Morino said, “While many concerts and operas were canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus, we were able to sing in front of the audience at the competition. "We felt that the power of music was amazing and that we received more energy from our customers," he said.

Also, in the viola section held on the 5th, Godai Konoe won the championship, 2nd place was Moeko Yutomi, 3rd place was Emiko Yuasa and Japanese musician dominated the top.

On the night of the 6th, there will be a concert by Morino, the winner of this year.
