He added, in media statements, that the decision is a return to entry procedures that were previously applied, by allowing residents and visitors to enter the emirate, on condition that they obtain a negative result for the PCR or DBI laser examination, which did not exceed 48 hours after receiving the The result, with the addition of a condition in the new situation, whereby everyone who enters the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and stays there for more than six days, is required to undergo a PCR examination on the sixth day.

Residents within the emirate will be required, in the event of their departure from it, to obtain a negative result for a "BCR" or laser test, "DPI", upon their return to it, to allow them to enter it.

After six days, they will be required to undergo the PCR test again.

Al-Kaabi attributed the change of the mechanism for entering Abu Dhabi to the increase in the number of infections during the recent period, pointing out that "the precautionary measures taken by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through the Crisis and Emergency Committee in the emirate aim to restrict movement, to break the chain of spread of the virus."

He said, "We prefer that those residing in the emirate not go out unless absolutely necessary."

For its part, the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee stated that specialized scientific studies have shown that the probability of discovering the virus is high in the middle of the incubation period for a person who has been exposed to the infection, indicating that conducting a nasal swab test (PCR), on the sixth day of entering Abu Dhabi, aims to This leads to discovering infected cases in the early stages, and subsequently limiting the spread of infection among community members.

The committee had announced the amendment of the procedures for entering Abu Dhabi, in line with the plan to expand and increase the scope of examinations, and to strengthen the precautionary measures for early detection of HIV infections.

She said that residents and visitors of Abu Dhabi will be able to enter the emirate upon presenting a negative result for the "BCR" or laser test, "DPI", within 48 hours of receiving the result.

The laser scan does not require a prior result from the PCR examination.

She added that it had also approved requiring residents and visitors to conduct an additional examination on the sixth day inside the emirate, for those whose stay or visit extended for six consecutive days or more.
