SOS received the drowning alarm at 19 o'clock on Saturday night, when several people were in the water.

Emergency services and an ambulance were sent to the scene.

- It was a bit hectic initially.

It was a boat with five or six people in it as a capsize.

Everyone ended up in the water, says Andreas Grip, operations manager at the rescue service in Söderhamn.

The people did not have life jackets, but thanks to the intervention of private individuals, they were all able to be rescued from the water.

- We did not have to pick anyone up, everyone got out of the water with the help of cottage owners in the area, says Grip.

No person needed to be taken to hospital.

- They are a bit wet and cold, but in good spirits, says the task leader.
