Philippe Escalle, former winger of Castres Olympique, with whom he was champion of France in 1993, died on Saturday at the age of 51, we learned from a source close to the family.

Philippe Escalle, who had also played in Béziers, died after a heart attack during a cycling trip.

He was 51 years old and the father of two boys.
