The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the involvement of the United States and NATO members in the production of a substance known as Novichok.

The relevant information is contained in a statement published on the website of the foreign ministry.

“In connection with the categorical assertions that toxic chemical compounds of nerve-paralytic action, which in the West are called“ Novice ”, were developed in our country, it is necessary to recall the following.

For several years, specialists from many Western countries and specialized NATO structures have been working on the compounds included in this extensive group of chemical substances, ”the Foreign Ministry said.

Russian diplomats also reminded that the United States "has been officially issued more than one hundred and fifty patents to developers of technologies for their combat use."

Thus, the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the joint statement of the heads of the foreign ministries of Germany and France, Heiko Maas and Jean-Yves Le Drian, on the situation with Alexei Navalny.

Recall that on September 4, Foreign Ministers of Germany and France, Heiko Maas and Jean-Yves Le Drian, held a meeting, after which a joint statement on the situation with Navalny was published.

"They are both deeply shocked by this attack on Mr. Navalny, which is a very serious blow to the fundamental principles of democracy and political pluralism," the German Foreign Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministers of Germany and France also expressed the hope that the Russian authorities will be able to "guarantee the creation of conditions for the observance of the civil and political rights of their citizens."

They also stated the importance of an "explanation" from Russia in connection with the discovery in Germany of data on Navalny's poisoning with a substance from the Novichok group.

Recall that on August 20, the plane with Alexei Navalny on board made an emergency landing at the Omsk airport due to a sharp deterioration in the blogger's health.

He was urgently taken to a local hospital, he was unconscious.

Relatives insisted on the transfer of Navalny to the German clinic "Charite".

When the doctors of the Omsk hospital found the patient's condition stable, he was transported to Germany.

Later, the official representative of the Federal Republic of Germany government Steffen Seibert said that Alexei Navalny was allegedly poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok group.

The toxicological study was carried out by a special laboratory of the German Armed Forces.

Later, German Chancellor Angela Merkel repeated a similar idea, stating that Navalny had become a "victim of a crime."

The Kremlin, in turn, noted that no poisonous substances were found in the body of Alexei Navalny before he was taken to Berlin.

“Before the patient was taken to Berlin, in accordance with all international standards, a whole complex of tests was carried out in our country - no toxic substances were detected,” said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.

At the same time, later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov indicated that Moscow's official appeal to Berlin, related to the state of Alexei Navalny, remained unanswered.

Lavrov pointed out that in the situation with Navalny, "everything happens according to the old scenarios."

“When any accusations against us are brought forward from the public tribunes, when our official appeal with a request to use legal aid treaties and provide us with data in response to specific questions posed by the Russian General Prosecutor’s Office remains unanswered,” the minister said.

He stressed that Russia will react to the current situation when it receives a response with specific facts.

“All this, unfortunately, is reminiscent of what happened to the Skripals and other stories when Russia was unfoundedly accused,” he said.

Along with this, the chief toxicologist of the Omsk region, Alexander Sabaev, who was involved in the treatment of Navalny, said in an interview with RT that the hospital did not consider the German side's version of the "poisoning" with organophosphate to be "fair and proven".

He noted that no toxicants were found in Navalny's body.

“This is not only a chemical-toxicological study the day before, immediately, taken here and now, but also a delayed one - how the body reacts.

We evaluated two situations: what could have entered the body, and how the body would react to the poison.

The body did not react to the poison.

That is, there was no poison.

These are obvious things.

On this basis, we are convinced that there is no poisoning, ”said Sabayev.

In turn, the head of the National Medical Chamber, Dr. Leonid Roshal, spoke about an appeal to the German Medical Chamber with a proposal to create a joint expert group to find out the reasons for Navalny's condition.

“The fate of Navalny worries many, the National Medical Chamber has now turned to the German Medical Chamber - a similar organization, one of the oldest in the world, the German Medical Chamber, in order to create an expert group with them,” he said.

This group could "look at the root cause of Navalny's condition," Roshal noted.

According to him, if it turns out that “indeed Navalny was poisoned,” then in Russia it would be necessary to initiate a criminal case.

“If ours worked not only in Omsk, but also with the help of consultants very well, brought us out of a serious condition, but the studies that we conducted did not show poisoning, and they found something at the German military commission, let's get together calmly, representatives, specialists from Russia, toxicologists and specialists from Germany. We will discuss whether there is or not, ”he added.
