"The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela once again declares to the international community about the interventionist aggression of Washington, which, in violation of international law, illegally uses unilateral coercive measures against Venezuelan democratic institutions, in particular, trying to interfere in the parliamentary elections," the statement said.
Earlier, the US Treasury imposed sanctions against Venezuelan Attorney General Reinaldo Muñoz Pedrosa, politician David De Lima, as well as the head and member of the National Electoral Council Indira Alfonso and Jose Guterres.
