“Ukraine proceeds from the fact that at the moment our partners and everyone who opposes Russia's aggressive policy should use effective mechanisms of influence on this country, including the application of sanctions and a review of the policy regarding the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline,” the Foreign Minister quotes Interfax-Ukraine. 

According to him, if the project is completed, Moscow "will receive additional opportunities to earn huge money and invest it later, in particular, in its aggressive actions."

The diplomat called for "a very comprehensive approach to this issue" and "finally take measures that will maximize the price for Russia for its actions."

On September 2, Berlin announced that the conducted research revealed a substance from the Novichok group in Navalny. 

The Russian embassy urged partners to avoid politicizing the incident.

The German opposition Green Party then called on the government to stop SP-2.

US Senator Tom Cotton made a similar appeal. 

The Kremlin called such statements emotional and stressed that we are talking about a commercial project, which is in the interests of the energy security of the entire European continent.
