British researchers said, that diarrhea and vomiting can be major signs of infection with the emerging corona virus in children.

According to the British newspaper, The Guardian, researchers from Queen's University Belfast asked the National Health Services Authority in Britain to update its official list of symptoms of Corona in children, to include diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal cramps, after it was limited to only three symptoms: High fever, persistent cough, loss or change in the sense of smell or taste.

The researchers conducted their study on more than 990 children between April 6 and July 3, where they took a blood sample, which was tested for antibodies to the Corona virus, and data was also collected on whether they had experienced any symptoms.

The team found that 68 children (6.9 percent of the total sample included in the study) had antibodies to the disease, indicating that they had contracted it, while only half of them reported experiencing its symptoms.
