At today's major conference held two days before the end of phase 2.5 of the social distancing of the metropolitan area, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun emphasized that the number of confirmed cases is decreasing, but is not clearly entering a stable state, suggesting a policy to extend the period.

Some of the younger generations were particularly concerned that their alertness had become loose, and asked them to comply with the quarantine regulations.
After a while, the government is expected to announce whether and how long the 2.5th stage of the metropolitan area and the second stage of other regions will be extended through a script briefing.
Earlier, the government raised the level of quarantine in the metropolitan area to 2.5 levels for 8 days from the 30th of last month to the 6th, and accordingly, reinforced measures are being implemented, such as banning food intake in franchise cafes.
