The Italian national team survived defeat at home to Bosnia and Herzegovina and realized the difficulty of a 1-1 draw on Friday, while the Netherlands beat Poland 1-0 at the start of the first group matches in the second edition of the European Football League Championship.

The match was held at the Artemio Franchi stadium in Florence, without public attendance due to the Corona pandemic.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina players surprised the old Italian national team with a strong performance, which resulted in a goal in the 57th minute by Bosnian star Eden Dzeko, the top scorer of the Italian club Roma.

The Italian players struggled until Stefano Sensi equalized in the 67th minute, but they failed to win in front of the desperate Bosnian defense.

The Dutch national team led Group A with 3 points, after its victory at Johan Cruyff Stadium in the capital, Amsterdam, over its Polish counterpart 1-0.

The Dutch goal was scored by young striker Stephen Bergwyn in the 91st minute, to place Poland fourth and last in the group.
