The Republic is "

 always to be protected

" because it is "

 fragile and precarious

", warned Emmanuel Macron on Friday, praising this political regime which must, because it is "

 indivisible

", admit "

 no separatist adventure

" .

There will never be a place in France for those who, often in the name of a God, sometimes with the help of foreign powers, intend to impose the law of a group

 ", he warned.

As the trial of the January 2015 attacks opens, the French President also underlined that secularism, "

which guarantees the freedom to believe or not to believe

 ", "

is not separable from a freedom of expression going as far as the right to blasphemy

 ”.

Bill for fall

This speech, delivered in a serious tone, is the prelude to a series of initiatives in the sovereign areas of the republican order, including security and separatism, and equality of opportunity.

The French president has also specified that a "

bill to fight against separatism will be presented this autumn

".

At the same time, he also promised to go “

further, stronger, in the coming weeks

” to promote “

 equal opportunities

” which is “

a priority of the five-year term

”.

Each citizen, whatever the environment where he lives, the environment from which he comes must be able to build his life by his work, by his merit.

We are still far, too far, from this ideal.
