IAEA Iran Inspects facility suspected of storing nuclear material at 8:21 on September 4

IAEA = The International Atomic Energy Agency found that, based on the agreement with Iran that was signed in late last year, it conducted an inspection at a facility suspected of containing nuclear material in Iran.

In the future, it is expected that the inspection contents will be verified and explained to relevant countries.

IAEA Secretary General Grossi visited Iran in late last month for the first time after taking office, and met with the Commissioner of Salehi Nuclear Energy Commissioner, and at two facilities in Iran where it is suspected that nuclear material is stored. Agreed to accept the inspection.



Based on the agreement, the Iranian side's response in the future was the focus, but according to diplomatic sources, the IAEA inspection was conducted at one location by the 3rd.



Another facility is expected to be inspected soon.



Iran's Foreign Minister Aragchi told NHK in an interview with the Secretary-General of Grossi on January 1 in Vienna, saying, "There is a good agreement with the IAEA. Relevant information will be included in the report," he said, promising that the IAEA's upcoming report will include the inspection.



The IAEA will proceed with verification of the inspection contents in the future, and it is expected that the IAEA Board of Directors will hold a meeting from the middle of this month to explain to related countries, which may affect the future situation in Iran.
