"The high alert mode does not apply to the entire region, but to the point of Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur, as well as Amursky, Bikinsky, Verkhnebureinsky, Vyazemsky, Komsomolsky, named after Lazo, Nanaysky and Khabarovsky regions," the press release says.

The government said that, according to the forecast of hydrologists, in the first ten days of September, the water level in the Amur River near Khabarovsk may rise up to 500-580 cm.

At the same time, from a level of 600 cm, as a rule, flooding of low places in the coastal strip begins, the press service added.

At present, the level of the Amur near Khabarovsk is 473 cm, "which is 73 cm higher than the mark of unfavorable phenomena."

In the Khabarovsk region 662 summer cottages were flooded.

Earlier, "Vzglyad" reported that the water level in the Amur River near Khabarovsk exceeded the mark of an adverse event by 17 cm.
