According to the notice, in accordance with the "Thirteenth Five-Year" National Medical Center and National Regional Medical Center Setup Plan (Guoweiyifa [2017] No. 3, hereinafter referred to as the "Setup Plan") and the "National Medical Center and National Regional Medical Center Setup Implementation Plan" (National Health Office Medical Letter [2019] No. 45, hereinafter referred to as "Implementation Plan"), combined with the implementation of the National Children’s Medical Center in the construction of the prevention and treatment system of children’s serious diseases, the management of children’s health, and the improvement of the treatment of difficult and critical diseases Active role, the National Health Commission decided to set up a national children's regional medical center.
The notice pointed out that after research, the National Health Commission decided to set up a national children’s regional medical center in the Northeast Region with the Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University as the main body, and in the East China region with the Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine as the main body. Center, set up a national children’s regional medical center in the south-central region with Guangzhou Women’s and Children’s Medical Center as the main body, and set up a national children’s regional medical center in the southwest region with Chongqing Medical University Affiliated Children’s Hospital as the main body and West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University. The National Children's Regional Medical Center will be set up with the Children's Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University as the main body.
The National Children’s Regional Medical Center shall implement relevant responsibilities and tasks in accordance with the relevant requirements of the "Setup Plan", strengthen coordination with the National Children’s Medical Center, establish a division of labor and coordination mechanism, and play a leading role in radiation in the Northeast, East China, Central South, Southwest and Northwest regions. , To promote the improvement of regional children's medical care, teaching, scientific research and preventive health services, and promote the homogeneity of regional pediatric medical services.
The notice clarified that each main hospital is responsible for the daily operation and management of the national children's regional medical centers in the corresponding regions to ensure that the national regional medical centers carry out related work in accordance with their duties and tasks.
Relevant provinces (municipalities) should earnestly fulfill their local responsibilities, increase funding, provide policy support, improve supporting measures, establish a full-process supervision mechanism, and promote the sustainable development of the construction of national regional medical centers.
The National Health Commission is responsible for providing professional guidance on the work of national regional medical centers, determining work objectives and priorities, assigning special tasks and supporting funds, and implementing the work of national regional medical centers in accordance with the "Setup Plan" and "Implementation Plan" Supervision and management.
