Danièle Obono will "file a complaint against Valeurs Actuelles" after the publication of the ultraconservative weekly depicting the LFI deputy of Paris as a slave, she announced Wednesday.

"After careful consideration and following an in-depth legal analysis, I decided, with La France insoumise, to file a complaint against Valeurs Actuelles", specifies Ms. Obono in a press release, after having made the announcement earlier at the microphone by Jean-Jacques Bourdin on RMC.

Valeurs Actuelles published a seven-page account in which black-skinned MP Danièle Obono "experienced the responsibility of Africans in the horrors of slavery" in the 18th century, according to her presentation.

Drawings by Mme Obono, iron necklace around her neck, accompany this "summer novel".

The publication sparked a wave of indignation upon its release.

The Paris prosecutor's office opened a preliminary investigation for "racist insults" on Monday.

The chosen one, who will be defended by Raquel Garrido and Xavier Sauvignet, describes her complaint as a "universal fight against racism", an action that she leads "not only for (her), but for all those who have been dismissed , by this racist and xenophobic text in its essence, to a + home + imaginary far from France.
