It was at the end of April this year that the police, after a period of reconnaissance, stopped a car in the Uppsala area.

The cargo contained almost three kilos of amphetamine and a larger drug haul with branches in both Umeå and Stockholm was unloaded.

Umeå police had for some time had 27-year-old Umeåbo under surveillance, since he, among other things, sold drugs from his car.

It was when he and another 27-year-old man were to smuggle a large amount of amphetamine to Umeå that the police raided.

The two men hired a courier to pick up the drug from an address in Stockholm and transport it up to Umeå.

Then the police started unraveling the drug ring

Shortly after the courier was stopped, another man was arrested, who was linked to the address in Stockholm where the drugs were picked up.

When he was taken by the police, he was in a car, in the vehicle they also found a lot of cocaine.

The man then admitted that there were more drugs in his apartment.

In total, the police seized just over 80 grams of cocaine, a small amount of ketamine and almost a kilo of amphetamine.

Police also found a large sum of money in the apartment.

According to the National Forensic Center, the amphetamine, which was found in the car and the apartment, comes from the same batch.

In the case, a total of seven men were charged with varying degrees of involvement, one of them was completely acquitted, another was given a suspended sentence and five of the men were sentenced to longer prison terms, up to five years in prison, for a serious drug offense and money laundering.
