Tomorrow, the Pribaikalsky District Court will consider a petition to detain a man, ”the press service of the RF IC in the Republic of Buryatia told RT.

Cruel punishment

As RT was told in the regional department, the crime was committed in the village of Pokrovka, Pribaikalsky District.

There the suspect was visiting his brother.

On August 31, the men went to harvest hay and took the girl with them.

However, the haymaking had to be interrupted because of the onset of rain, from which the relatives took refuge in the forest.

The brothers decided to pass the time over a drink, and the uncle gave the girl his mobile phone to play.

According to the investigation, during the game, the child accidentally dropped the gadget and damaged it.

The owner of the phone was furious about this.

He ordered his niece to put her palm on the stump and in front of her father's eyes he chopped off two of her fingers with an ax, after which he fled into the forest.

The wounded girl was brought home by her father.

The mother called an ambulance, and the child was urgently hospitalized.

Doctors performed an emergency operation and were able to sew one finger.

At the moment, the mother is in the hospital with the child.

According to representatives of the UK, in the evening the victim's uncle returned to the scene of the crime, where he was detained by law enforcement officers.

The department added that in the near future the investigator will begin interrogating the suspect, after which the issue of charging him and choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention will be decided.

The family is not registered

As the ombudsman for the rights of the child in Buryatia, Natalya Gankina, told RT, the injured child is being brought up in a large family, which until that time was considered prosperous.

“In connection with the state of emergency in the Pribaikalsky region, today I made a trip to the region, to the family of the injured girl.

The family has four more children, contact children, dressed in clean clothes, well-fed, active.

The family is not registered with preventive care, it runs a household, "Gankina told RT.

According to her, following the results of the visit, a meeting was held with the bodies of social protection, health care, the district administration, and the family has already been provided with material assistance.

“In the future, the guardianship and trusteeship authorities will carry out family patronage.

Today we had a conversation with the attending physician on the tactics of treating the girl, and also maintains contact with her mother.

The situation is under control ", - said Gankina

The administration of the Itantsinsky rural settlement RT reported that the girl's father was also previously convicted, but could not say under which article.

“The girl's uncle is not a very adequate person.

He comes from Ulan-Ude to the village to mow and by doing this he earns his living.

A large family lives off cows and a farm.

Parents do not work anywhere.

The mother and the eldest daughter have a disability.

In general, the family is prosperous and nothing bad can be said about them, "said the head of the settlement, Sergei Arefiev, to RT.

He added that the two older children are attending a local school and three are preschoolers.

Pokrovskaya comprehensive primary school declined to comment.

However, local journalists who have visited Pokrovka say that there are rumors in the village that the girl herself put her hand under the ax when her uncle was chopping wood, and that he was allegedly not to blame for what happened.
