After various test campaigns on the Loire-Atlantique coast during the holidays, the Pays-de-la-Loire regional health agency is now targeting cities.

From this Wednesday, a major screening campaign will be carried out in three sites in Nantes, with the objective of carrying out some 7,000 tests.

Until Saturday inclusive (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. then 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday), PCR tests will be carried out in front of the Carré Feydeau, in the city center.

The operation is free and there is no need to make an appointment.

From Wednesday 9 to Saturday 12, Nantes residents who so wish can then go to the Nantes-Erdre room to be tested.

Then, the mobile screening site will move to the Bellevue district (from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18), rue des Pinsons, a stone's throw from Place Mendès-France.

Get tested in the laboratory

Apart from these ephemeral sites, anyone who wishes can perform a virological test in about twenty laboratories in Nantes.

There is no need for a prescription and the operation is free, but it is often necessary to make an appointment.

In Loire-Atlantique, the figures are below the national average but are increasing day by day.

On Friday, the department was placed in a situation of "moderate vulnerability" due to an increasingly intense circulation of the coronavirus.
