On Saturday August 22, a 20-year-old man was swept away by a wave in Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine).

Rescued by firefighters and transported in absolute urgency, the young man died on Tuesday August 26, reports the site Actu.fr, which specifies that the funeral will take place this Tuesday near Rennes.

Residing in Saint-Malo, the young man had been swept away by a wave while he was on a low wall bordering the sea, at the level of the hold of La Rochebonne.

The site is known to welcome many curious people during high tides, the waves coming here to lick the coastline and offer a spectacle as grandiose as it is dangerous.
