The building that emerges is shaped like the letter U. In the opening, a plantation will be planted.
The new hospital will be ready in June 2022 and will be smaller than the previous ones, but as the space is used better, more operations will be accommodated on the premises.
Some who will move in are: adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, the child clinic, the municipality's home health care, development assistance officers, rehab teams and a pool for training and rehab.
In order for the construction to be as environmentally friendly as possible, a private company, which specializes in climate-smart materials, has been involved and approved the building material.
- We have also decided that the hospital will be heated with district heating produced with renewable fuel from Sala-Heby Energi AB, says Jan Simonsson.
