The public interest in archeology is great, and in Östergötland there is even its own newspaper in the area.

It is the archaeologists themselves who write and publish the journal with the name "Archeology in Östergötland".

- The response has been above expectations, says archaeologist Karin Lindeblad about the magazine, which turns 10 years old and celebrates with an extra thick anniversary issue.

In the clip above, she tells about one of the first East Goths known and what we learn through samples from his tartar.

- We researchers have become much better at expressing ourselves, telling and popularizing and not just writing dry dusty reports, says archaeologist Ann-Charlott Feldt at Östergötland Museum.

- It is good that it is part of our tasks when we do excavations, it is important that we convey and arouse interest.
