"The personnel of the consolidated detachment of the Ministry of Defense of Russia with the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the National Guard and employees of the state corporation" Rosatom "worked out the actions to set a water curtain on containers with toxic waste in the event of an emergency," TASS reports.

About 60 servicemen, 20 pieces of equipment, as well as five fire brigades of the Russian Emergencies Ministry took part in the exercise.

According to the legend of the exercises, during the pumping of chemicals from emergency containers, a depressurization occurred, and active evaporation of toxic substances began, which subsequently led to a fire.

The military prevented the spread of toxic substances by installing a water curtain with the help of four simultaneously operating ARS-14KM auto-filling stations and a universal heat machine UTM-80M.

EMERCOM employees localized the fire and ensured further uninterrupted water supply.

During the training, a system for alerting the population about an emergency was worked out.

On August 10, the combined detachment of the Ministry of Defense arrived in Usolye-Sibirskoye to eliminate environmental problems.
