A 12-year-old boy was rescued by firefighters this Tuesday late morning on the banks of the Tarn, in Gaillac.

It was a local resident who found him injured on the quay, at the foot of the Saint-Michel bridge, on the abbey side, and alerted the emergency services.

According to the first elements collected by the investigators of the gendarmerie brigade of Gaillac, the boy probably fell from the structure, about 15 meters high, in the course of the previous night.

But the gendarmes have not yet been able to hear the young victim, hospitalized in the hospital of Albi.

They therefore remain cautious about the causes and circumstances of this probable fall.
