“The election results show that we are gaining 40 seats in parliament. We remain the strongest party in the country. It's too early to talk about the final results, the question is who will receive the decisive 41st mandate, ”TASS quoted him as saying.

Djukanovic specified that he recognizes the winner after summing up the final results, and also recalled that his party "has achieved historic success for Montenegro, including gaining independence."

Earlier, the leader of the opposition coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" Zdravko Krivokapic announced the "fall of the regime" in Montenegro following the parliamentary elections.

According to observers, turnout was a record 75.9%.
