A 25-year-old Lyonnais, suspected of reselling stolen cars on the Leboncoin website, was arrested Saturday afternoon in Saint-Etienne (Haute-Loire), after being trapped by one of the buyers. The latter quickly suspected a scam as the price of the vehicle offered was unbeatable, reports Le Progrès .

He therefore made an appointment with the seller and was responsible for alerting the police beforehand. Not suspecting anything, the Lyonnais fell into the trap. He thus went to the Saint-Etienne station where he was to conclude the transaction. It was there that the police arrested him in flagrante delicto, specifies the regional daily this Sunday.

The suspect, arrested without violence, was taken into custody.
