“Mutual disposition was confirmed to further strengthen the Russian-Belarusian alliance and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas,” the Kremlin said.

The message says that the presidents agreed "to hold a meeting in Moscow in the coming weeks."

During the conversation, Putin also congratulated his Belarusian colleague on his birthday. 

Earlier, Belarus reported on a telephone conversation between Putin and Lukashenko.

On August 24, Putin and Lukashenko during a telephone conversation discussed the situation in Belarus, as well as issues of cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
