Police organized a check on the beating of blogger Zhukov

It is noted that a young man applied to the MOIA for the Mozhaisky district of Moscow with a statement about causing bodily harm. According to the victim, two unknown persons beat him and fled.

"On this fact, a check is being carried out, the issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (" Beating ") is being decided," TASS cites a statement.

Earlier, Zhukov's representative confirmed his beating.

On December 6, Zhukov was sentenced to three years probation in the case of incitement to extremism in videos published on YouTube. He was also banned from administering sites on the Internet for two years.

In February, the Moscow City Court recognized the verdict as legal.
