Dubai Health implements monitoring campaigns on private schools in Dubai
The Dubai Health Authority has stated that it has begun implementing an intensive monitoring and inspection plan on private schools in the emirate, to ensure its commitment to implementing the health procedures and standards it has set to ensure a school environment free from contagious diseases, according to the first public health specialist, head of the school health department, Acting Dr. Iris copper.
Al-Nahas confirmed to "Emirates Today" that the authority has worked, during the last period, to set standards and controls to ensure a safe academic year for students and administrative and teaching staff, in cooperation with the municipality and the Knowledge Authority, as it subjected the administrative and medical staff in private schools to training on the new controls, requirements and procedures, to empower them To control the health situation within the school.
She pointed out that the monitoring and inspection processes will be intensive to ensure that everyone adheres to the specified procedures, in order to preserve the safety of students, teaching and administrative staff in each school.
Al-Nahas confirmed that the authority has recently developed an action plan to reopen schools in cooperation and coordination between the concerned parties, and issued new standards for school clinics, including specifications for isolation rooms, details of reporting infectious diseases, as well as issuing guidelines for the conditions for reopening schools, which include precautionary measures for prevention. The schools also prepared their own plan to respond to the requirements of the guidelines, and included the procedures that they implemented in preparation for the new season.
She also confirmed the work to prepare a training program for school cadres to ensure the strict implementation of precautionary measures and answer the questions raised, in addition to preparing a course for operations in emergency situations and dealing with suspected cases.
She pointed out that the standards adopted for the new academic year included the provision of an isolation room, the designation of safety officials in the school, and the preparation of health education materials in order to enhance the practice of proper preventive behavior.
