The storms and the cap de fibló this Saturday in Mallorca have destroyed Christian Volkers' house in Banyalbufar, Son Coll. The force of the wind has destroyed the mansion and the grounds of the estate where the German businessman held his famous polo party every year since 2008. As luck would have it, Volkers and his wife were not in it at the time, since they had traveled to Germany the day before.
The strong storm has washed away trees and roofs of the house , and with it has destroyed doors and furniture of the famous mansion of the owner of Engels & Volkers, one of the most important real estate agencies in Europe.
Banyalbufar, the Mallorcan town where this 15-hectare farm is located, has been one of the places most affected by the storms this Saturday and they are considering requesting the declaration of a catastrophic area given "the magnitude of the disaster," according to Europa Press.
The famous and exclusive Christian Volkers polo parties in Son Coll brought together personalities such as Cristina Macaya, Alfonso Cortina, Laura Ponte and Dianda Douglas, among others.
