Yesterday, the UAE sent a third aid plane containing 16.5 tons of medical supplies and testing devices to Kazakhstan, to support it in curbing the spread of the new Corona virus, and more than 16,000 health care workers benefit from it to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

The Acting Chargé d'Affairs at the country's embassy in Nur Sultan, Ammar Al-Braiki, said: In light of the UAE's keenness to strengthen and develop bilateral relations with Kazakhstan, the third aid plane was sent yesterday to provide the necessary tools to support the efforts of health workers in facing the pandemic.

Al-Breiki added: Over the past five months, two medical aid planes were flown to Kazakhstan carrying 20.7 tons of medical aid, including 25 respirators and various medical and preventive supplies, from which more than 20,000 medical personnel directly benefited.

For his part, Madyar Minilikov, ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the country, thanked and profoundly appreciates the leadership of the UAE for the assistance it provided, including medical supplies and supplies, to support the humanitarian efforts in Kazakhstan to confront the emerging coronavirus.

The ambassador said: The UAE was one of the first countries to send a humanitarian aid plane to Kazakhstan last April, and it reached more than 50 tons of medical supplies, which benefited the people of Kazakhstan and workers in the health care sector.

It is worth noting that the UAE has so far provided more than 1295 tons of aid to more than 108 countries, benefiting about 1.2 million medical workers.

The UAE aid contains 16.5 tons of medical supplies and testing equipment.
