• Courts The PDeCAT sues the Puigdemont party for control of the acronym JxCat

The five members of the Junts per Catalunya parliamentary group in the Senate have withdrawn as PDeCAT associates due to "the drift that the party is taking", which in their opinion "does not respect the agreements reached in the last National Assembly and in the National Council held in December 2019, which established the transition to JxCat ".

Senators Josep Luís Cleries, Mayte Rivero, Josep Maria Cervera, Josep Maria Matamala and Assumpció Castellví announced their decision this afternoon in a joint statement released on Twitter.

In the statement, they describe as "intolerable" the decision of the Democratic Party to sue JxCat for the use of these acronyms and unequivocally align themselves with Carles Puigdemont: "We will continue working for Catalonia and for its people alongside President Puigdemont."

The five parliamentarians reproach the PDeCAT leadership for what they consider to mean putting the courts before dialogue and not having been "consulted or informed" of the legal actions that have been heard today.
