- Now we have more low-pressure weather, says Charlotta Eriksson, meteorologist on duty at SMHI.

In Kalmar County, on Öland and Gotland and in Östergötland, SMHI has issued class 1 warnings for heavy rain. On the Skagerak, in the central and northern Baltic Sea and in the Gulf of Riga, warnings are given for winds with gale force.

- It can be really heavy rain, and basements and drains can be flooded when there is so much in a short time. It can rain heavily in other parts of the country as well.

Thunder in large parts of the country

Both Södermanland and Stockholm counties can feel the storm on Saturday.

The rain comes in company with the thunder. There will be both lightning and thunder in large parts of the country when the low pressure from the west pulls forward on Saturday.

- In Norrland, we also have a strip of showers that come in during the night. The focus of the rain is in the southern parts on Saturday, but on Sunday it is over northern Svealand and Norrland. Then it can also be heavy rain.

Summer weather may return

The low pressure weather will remain over the weekend, but by Monday it will be clear again. It will be a little warmer, but no really high temperatures.

- It is a temporary stabilization. It looks like it will be sunny on Monday, and stable on Tuesday, but then it will be a low pressure that will pass over the country again.

It will be more volatile from the middle of the week, but that does not necessarily mean that the summer weather is gone for this year.

- Maybe it will be a little warmer by the end of the week. But it will probably not be 30 degrees more this year, says Charlotta Eriksson.
