At 02:30, the police, ambulance and rescue service were alerted to Slättsjövägen in Vrigstad.
- It burned in the entrance to the old library. There was a great risk of spreading to other buildings and a preliminary investigation into arson has begun, says police spokesman Dennis Johansson Strömberg on Saturday morning.
He says that the site was cordoned off for technical investigation, but that they have not been able to arrest anyone suspected of the crime.
According to a press release from the rescue service, there were open flames in the public premises. Rescue forces from four stations were sent to the scene.
No one was injured in the fire.
