School administrations in the Emirate of Fujairah and the Eastern Region have confirmed that high percentages of students are choosing the "hybrid education" system, in contrast to the other forms that it has set for them, to face the health conditions resulting from the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid-19).

Female employees indicated that the hybrid education system is best suited for them, because it allows them to continue performing their work, and to follow their children's lessons with the start of the new school year.

And the Ministry of Education defined “hybrid education” as a system that applies 70% direct education and 30% virtual (distance) education.

It is a type of education that seeks to achieve the sustainability of education, and provides educational and training opportunities and educational platforms that depend on the learner himself, to meet his educational needs, without being restricted to a specific place and time.

The Director of the Department of Human Resources in the Fujairah Government, Muhammad Khalifa Al-Zeyoudi, stated that the department will give employees, with students, flexibility in working hours, during the first week of the new academic year, to enable parents working in local authorities to accompany their children to schools, taking into account the social dimensions of employees Fathers and mothers, and in order to achieve family and social stability, stressing that "the department will provide facilities for female employees who accompany their children on the first day of school."

A student guardian, Hoda Muhammad, who works in a government job in Fujairah, stated that she chose "hybrid education" because it allows her to continue working and better pursue her daughter's education.

"The distance education system for first-stage students will be very difficult for the working mother, because of the students’ need for continuous assistance during the opening of new systems and programs, as well as not ensuring students ’commitment to follow the lesson, and their need for someone to clarify some points," she added.

The guardian of a student, Maryam Obaid Al-Hantoubi, who works for a federal entity, in the Emirate of Fujairah, indicated that she chose "hybrid education" for her daughter, who studies in the ninth grade in a government school, considering that it is most appropriate for students and their families.

She added that the group system divided into classes will prevent students from mixing with each other, especially on trips to and from school.

Citizen Asma Ali Muhammad agreed, and works as a teacher in a public school in Fujairah, saying that the Corona pandemic has greatly improved the educational system, as the student will gradually adapt to the traditional system.

She indicated that she chose the "hybrid education" system for her children, because it was consistent with her working hours as a teacher in the morning shift.

She explained that “the (distance education) system calls for the presence of parents next to the students, to control their behavior during classes and prevent them from playing, and this will not be achieved in the absence of parents as a result of their commitment to work, but the (hybrid education) system makes students more disciplined."

The guardian of three students, Muhammad Salem, believes that the "hybrid education" system helps his children to receive education more than "distance education", as his wife works as a nurse in a government hospital, and her work calls for her absence on some days, during the morning shift, according to the shifts. That is why “the (hybrid education) system is the best solution for us and our children.”

The system of groups divided into classes prevents mixing of students.
