Today, Sharjah Private Schools will start implementing the "distance learning" system for a period of two weeks, in accordance with the decision of the Sharjah Private Education Authority. While schools in Ajman decided to follow the British, American and Ministerial curriculum to remain on the Ministry of Education plan, which gave the school and the student’s guardian the freedom to choose the form of education, by distributing a questionnaire to the students’s families, to know the type of education they prefer for their children.

In detail, the commission confirmed that it had decided that the school year would start with the “distance learning” system in the first two weeks, to ensure the safety of students, indicating that the decision came after field data, which was reflected through the monitoring teams' visits, and communication with school administrators, and the Return to Schools Committee, to give an opportunity Greater for schools for optimum preparation.

It stated that no school will be allowed to open its doors to students and receive them, without fulfilling the health precautionary measures and standards approved by the competent authorities, to ensure the safety of students and to protect them from the danger of "Corona". She confirmed the preparation of a questionnaire to know the opinions of parents about their readiness for their children to return to school, according to the scenarios that it had set for the emirate’s schools, revealing that most of the opinions tended to choose “hybrid” or “mixed” education.

The administrations of private schools in Sharjah confirmed that the application of "distance" learning, during the first two weeks, gives the students' parents an opportunity to choose the appropriate type of education for their children, because there are many parents who did not choose the type of education.

She explained that after the end of the first two weeks, each school will start - according to its capabilities - to choose the type of education, either the complete return of students according to the precautionary requirements, or "distance education", or the "hybrid system."

She said that the option of "distance education" will be available to parents, after the first two weeks of the start of the school year, noting that work is continuing to find out the latest developments, to ensure the safety and security of students.

And private schools in Ajman decided to adhere to the plan it developed, in accordance with the protocols approved by the Ministry of Education, to ensure the safe return of students to school, after consulting their parents.

Private schools said that they are ready to receive students, who have chosen to teach on the (hybrid) school campus, noting that they have the ability to ensure the safety of students from the risk of infection with the Coronavirus, by applying precautionary measures.

Other schools confirmed that they sent text messages to parents, including the type of education according to their choices, pointing out that most of them chose "hybrid" education, which will be implemented starting today in their schools.

She indicated that she had distributed classrooms for students, to ensure that they were not mixed in the school building, noting that the number of students in the class would not exceed 15 students.

"Hybrid" education includes attending certain percentages of students to schools, according to their absorptive capacity.

It includes 50% of students attending school, and the other 50% receiving their education from a distance.
