Zelensky noted the importance of the memorandum on the allocation of € 1.2 billion to Kiev and expressed hope that the first tranche of € 600 million would be dispatched soon "without additional conditions."

"The government of Ukraine has already begun work on the fulfillment of the terms of the memorandum of understanding between Ukraine and the EU, so that by the end of this year it will be possible to receive the second tranche of macro-financial assistance," - follows from the statement of the Ukrainian leader.

He also assured that the Verkhovna Rada will soon adopt a number of laws on the implementation of the association agreement with the EU.

At the end of July, the European Union and Ukraine signed a memorandum on the allocation of € 1.2 billion in macro-financial assistance to Kiev in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.

Another € 11.5 million was received from the EC for the reform of the state administration of Ukraine.
