Demonstrations took place in Socotra and Taiz to demand an end to the Emirati presence in Yemen, and to denounce the Emirati normalization with Israel, while Ahmed bin Dagher, advisor to the Yemeni president, considered that mobilization for war in Abyan is not a solution.

After the Friday prayers, the demonstrators left several mosques in the governorate of Socotra Archipelago, and citizens from the Qaara region, southwest of the archipelago, participated with them, who raised slogans calling for an end to the Emirati presence within the Saudi-led coalition, to restore legitimacy.

The demonstrators called for the speedy implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, the restoration of legitimacy and all state property, and for Socotra to remain free of armed manifestations.

Demonstrators in Freedom Square in the Yemeni city of Taiz also condemned the role of the UAE in their country, and demanded an end to its presence in the coalition, coinciding with the first anniversary of the massacre committed by the Emirati Air Force against the Yemeni army forces at the eastern entrance to Aden, which killed about 300 officers and soldiers.

The demonstrators demanded the return of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the legitimate government to the country, and that the battle to liberate the remaining provinces be managed by the Houthi group from within.

In response to the call of the Popular Committee for Supporting Palestine, the protesters raised slogans in several areas of Taiz governorate, such as "Al-Aqsa is the land of the free ... The printing press sold the house," and "Forfeiting Palestine is an alienation of dignity and existence."

For its part, the leadership of the 115th Infantry Brigade in the Yemeni army commemorated the anniversary of the Emirati bombing in the Al-Alam area between the governorates of Aden and Abyan a year ago, and the participants demanded that the issue of the dead and wounded be followed up and the care of their families by the Ministry of Defense and the Yemeni government.

The massacre took place while the UAE forces were preparing to enter the temporary capital, Aden, to tip the balance in favor of the Southern Transitional Council, which it supported.

Tension in Abyan
In another context, Ahmed bin Dagher said on Twitter that the mobilization in Abyan Governorate by government forces and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council will not be a solution to the crisis, considering that if the war breaks out, no party will win.

Bin Dagher added, "Instead of defeat, let us prevail in peace ... We have to get ourselves to implement only what we agreed upon (in the Riyadh Agreement)."

On Wednesday, the Transitional Council announced the suspension of its negotiations with the government regarding the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, due to “the government forces’ lack of commitment to the agreed-upon ceasefire, ”he said, but Ali Mohsin Saleh Al-Ahmar, Vice President, affirmed yesterday,“ The government's keenness to implement the Riyadh Agreement according to the specified timeframes, without Hinder or disable. Shelling and battles
In northern Yemen, security sources reported that 4 Yemeni soldiers were killed and about 20 others were injured, as a result of the Houthi group launching a ballistic missile at a camp of the government's Special Security Forces in the Marib Governorate.

This coincided with the announcement by the Saudi-led coalition that it had intercepted an explosive drone launched by the Houthi group towards the southern region of Saudi Arabia.

This comes at a time when violent battles are taking place southwest of Marib, on the borders with Al-Bayda Governorate, which is controlled by the Houthi group.
